The opening reception is on Sunday, January 28 from 2-4 pm. Exhibition runs until February 4. | The artwork detail shown above is from my ‘Heart Branchlines’ mixed media piece, one of four I have in the exhibition. See more from that body of work here (click). This is the write up from Neilson Park's Facebook page: “Kim-Lee Kho is a multidisciplinary visual artist and designer, who works in drawing, painting, sculpture, video, installation, performance and photo-digital mixed media. For many years, Kim-Lee has encouraged NPCC participants to extract more expression from their materials. Celebrate with Kim-Lee and learn about upcoming instructional offerings at the reception on January 28 from 2-4 pm.” |
On January 8 Kal Honey and I delivered our work for the instructors' exhibition at Neilson Park Creative Centre in Etobicoke (Toronto’s west end), Ontario. The centre has numerous skilled and talented instructors, many of whom have work in the show. Kal Honey and I are working hard to prepare for a special event for Visual Arts Mississauga members, 'Drawing from Life' which combines talk, visuals, film clips and discussion. Co-presented by the two of us, we will focus on the influence and importance of an artist's life in relation to their work, the sometimes surprising pathways and results.
Monday, January 15 (2018), at 7 PM - 10 PM The most important thing we bring to our work as artists is our unique selves. Free for members. Register in advance: 905-277-4313. Map below. |
