Jurying
My multidisciplinary nature, both as an artist and as an instructor, can be very helpful for jurying exhibitions, whether as sole juror or working with one or two others.
Groups I have juried for:
  • Artworks Oakville
  • Franklin Carmichael Art Group
  • Markham Group of Artists
  • Oshawa Art Association
  • Pine Ridge Arts (look up)
  • Toronto Watercolour Society
  • Visual Arts Mississauga

Critiques
Whether for smaller informal groups of artists or larger formal ones, I provide knowledgeable and articulate critiques, asking questions when possible to ascertain the objectives of the artist and also when possible or useful, tying their work into artists from contemporary and 20th century art history. My philosophy is that it's vital to give artists perspective both on what the strengths of their pieces are and where they could improve.
